Fully expected the 'prep' segments not to make it into the BBC broadcast. 
 The bulk of the Aussie version of the "Ashes" episode was to establish the 
three new hosts, so those prep segments were really necessary to establish 
the relationships among the hosts.  For the BBC version, we only needed to 
know that they were Top Gear presenters and that they come from an 
upside-down country with a funny accent.

I also suspect the 'Nigel v Bruce' thing probably means more to the Aussies 
than the Brits, although most of the Nigel/Bruce exchanges came in the 
early, non-challenge parts of the Aussie "Ashes" ep.
