Weird. Adam's message isn't showing up on the forum. Of the shows he mentioned (if the post ever does show up), "MasterChef" did well enough in the States this time around that Fox will do a second season this summer, as part of keeping their Gordon Ramsay brand going (no indication if Fox will Americanize his restaurant competition show, which BBCA just finished airing--"CookAlong" didn't do well here and "The F Word" will never be Americanized, since Mike Darnell has no interest in a food magazine series).
And I assume "Got to Dance" is the same format as "Born to Dance," Paula Abdul's much-hyped return to television, which bombed bigtime for CBS while holding "Survivor"'s Wednesday night time slot warm in January and February. -- TV or Not TV ....
