The executive is confused on several points, the main one of which is thinking that this "out of touch" bit started recently. Remember 1977 when the Starland Vocal Band beat out Boston for Best New Artist? Or 1979 when A Taste of Honey won over The Cars, Elvis Costello, and Toto?
