The article mentions Marge Gets a Job. Here is the joke that is the problem:

Lisa:  You'll be just like Marie and Pierre Curie.
Homer: What'd they do?
Lisa:  They discovered radium!  Then they both died of radiation poisoning.

Those monsters!

Where, exactly, are we drawing the line on this? Is Homer Defined out
of bounds because he somehow saves the plant by a random choice and it
looks like there's trouble? How 'bout Homer Goes To College when he
causes a meltdown in a test unit? Marge vs The Monorail should be
edited because we see a squirrel with laser eyes clearly caused by
radiation.

If I may borrow an advertising slogan: There's stupid, and there's
television-executive stupid.
