Richard Roeper was at the Chicago show, and his tweets (and column today) suggest that while not as bad as Detroit, it still sucked pretty hard.

This was a much better idea for him. My only exposre to Sheen since Major League have been his two interviews with Dan Patrick, the first the leading edge of his recent pop culture fame as a deconstructing celebrity. I was surprised that I was mildly interested in him, and it was almost all because he was reacting to the questions and comments from Patrick, who also provided needed structure, interrupting him and bringing him back on task as needed. I still would not pay money, or leave my house, or put on my pants, to go see Sheen, but the only way his "act" can be anything more than just a freak show is if he has some boundaries to traverse, and some structure to keep him roughly foucsed. The most interesting bit in the Tribute story for me was this: "He acknowledged being jealous of George Clooney and how Clooney's movies always seem to work". Say what you will about Clooney, he is not a more succesful version of Sheen, he is in many ways the opposite of Sheen. Clooney is professional, respectful of his peers (both actors and crew). He is about having a good time (and no doubt gets more, and higher quality, sex than a bottom feeder like Sheen) but is also well prepared and ready to work.
