So the one possible way New Jersey could have its own 'media market' will go
the
way of the dodo.

Subject: [TV orNotTV] Gov. Christie Sells Off NJ Public Net Out-of-State

As of July 1, the New Jersey Network's PBS TV stations will be managed
by NY's WNET (which is licensed to Newark) and WNET will produce a
nightly news program and events coverage for the net--Four of NJN's
NPR radio stations will be bought by New York Public Radio (news-talk
WNYC and classical WQXR) and the other five by Philadelphia's WHYY--
all of the stations will probably rebroadcast the owner's home
stations:

NJN's 120 employees will be out of work, although it's assumed that
most of the TV news department would be rehired by WNET.
