The heads of the Ultimate Fighting Championship mixed martial arts promotion were in talks with NBCUKabletown execs on Wednesday, according to Brian Stelter--UFC has long expressed an interest in having its own cable channel and getting broadcast network exposure and one would assume that some agreement on NBC telecasts would be part of the deal--UFC bouts and programs air currently on Spike, but they are near the end of the current contract:
