They might renew expensive series quickly to lock up talent and to remove logistical uncertainty for leased equipment and shooting locations. If the above-the-line talent isn't sure there will be a new season, they could sign for other projects, leaving this series in the lurch. -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
