Tony Randall was a huge opera fan, which probably explains "The Odd Couple Opera." I grew up listening to the Metropolitan Opera Saturday afternoons (my parents were huge opera fans), and Randall was a frequent panelist in something called an "opera quiz" segment, I think. My father used to marvel at how knowledgeable he was.
BTW one of my all-time favorite sitcom episodes ever is the one where Oscar and Felix win a car and it proves to be far more trouble than it's worth. Totally not related to anything that's TV: My building has two custodial engineers. What are their names? You guessed it: Oscar and Felix. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Kevin M. But the oddest of the odd is side two of the album "The Odd Couple Opera," an attempt to stage an episode of the series in operatic form. -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
