The sound was terrible here but I just chalked it up to the fact that the
audio on the local
FOX affiliate is always terrible. I'm not even sure they broadcast in stereo
yet.
But the mix was awful. During all the taped pieces it sounded like the live
audience might
have been applauding and/or laughing but there wasn't a mic open and we were
only
privileged to hear them from some mic left open backstage.

I didn't think it was built for the Emmys, just for the Oscars. Seems
like the Emmys need more seats than the Kodak can provide, due to all
those gigantic writing staffs, ensemble casts, and big-name guest stars
who get invited.
At any rate, Wikipedia's list of ceremonies shows that they've never been
at the Kodak -- in the last 35 years, they've been held at the Nokia, the
Shrine, the Pasadena Civic, and the Shubert:
