Dear CBS, I'd like an iPad app please.
I am a fan of some of your programing and I am unwilling to submit to the cable/satellite companies. I want to watch your programing legally on my iPad. I see you have a wide variety of apps created by your news division, and for those I thank you. However, your entertainment division is lacking an app for shows such as "NCIS" and "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson," two of my favorites. Both NBC and ABC have apps for their programs. Alas, Fox does not, which is a shame since Fox was once the network that skewed younger demographically and was known for cutting edge programs. But, by refusing to adopt new media methods of program distribution, Fox is now behind-the-times and disconnected from the youth of America. Is that how you want to be known, CBS? Do you recall the mockery your network endured not-too-long-ago, when jokes were made about the older audience programs like "Murder She Wrote" attracted? Do you want to go back to that? No, of course not. Which is why you must immediately commit to the task of designing and releasing an iPad app. Do it to prove how modern you are. Do it to give people the chance to discover your programing who otherwise might miss out (I'd never have watched "PanAm" were it not for the ABC iPad app... who knows... I could have chosen one of CBS's fine programs instead if the CBS app already existed). Do it and then stick it in Fox's face that they are now the last of the old fogies. Sincerely, -- Kevin M.
