(Hey, I remember the theme song from that one, too!)
The only two Westnighouse series that ran in Chicago were both on WBBM--"Doctor in the House" on Wednesday nights and "David Frost Revue" late Sunday nights (when the prime access half-hour was the 9:30/10:30E half-hour, thanks to NBC getting a waiver to run "Wonderful World of Disney" at 6:30/7:30. It was "Doctor in the House" that had the insidiously catchy theme song which still pops up four decades later, especially when you find eps of the "Doctor"series on YouTube. In fact, when I saw that BBC Radio 4 Extra was repeating dramatizations of the original books, I found it a disappointment that they didn't begin with that familar theme (but the original books were set sometime in Edwardian England, while the TV series was set in 1970). And in trying to find something about the other Westinghouse series, it seems that I forgot about the 1970 summer replacement show the Smothers Brothers did on ABC--as did most viewers back then. -- TV or Not TV ....
