Speaking as someone who as never liked either Madden or McCarver, I heartily concur.
Your second paragraph makes me wonder what the target demo is, especially for the World Series. 18-25s? Women? Men 35-50? I don't see what the appeal for any of those groups is from the likes of McCarver, Vitale, Boomer, etc. They do have knowledge of their sports, but that expertise is covered in a gelatinous goo of annoying mannerisms from all of them. To whom are they intended to appeal?
