The director of the Harry Potter films wants to "start from scratch" with a Doctor Who movie. I don't anticipate a positive fan reaction to this. Considering how the Davies & Moffat reimaging brought back the brand, it seems like a bad idea not to build upon it. And it will be two or three years before it will come to pass, allowing the brand to fade in the meantime?
