Charles Griffin worked as a stagehand for the American Music Awards in 2008--his paycheck from the production company that's become an expert on awards shows didn't arrive until the following February and he's suing dick clark productions (the official styling of the name) on behalf of other technicians who he says have received the same treatment over the years:
