Bits of the city look like an f-ing war zone. Between Glendale and Hollywood, power is still out at most of the gas stations (other things, too, but I needed gas). Uprooted 100-year-old trees lined Los Feliz this morning -- huge root balls ripped right out of the ground. Power was out for me most of the night, and almost as soon as power went out two cars collided on the dark street in front of my apartment. Since I live in a fire-risk area, I got no sleep thanks to the Buddy Holly style plane buzzing right above me. Almost every tree outside the main entrance to my school (the former RCA Records Building) is either completely missing or split in half.
