I suppose if I consider Clarkson a conservative, which I do, I must rescind my earlier statement about them not being funny. Although I think there is a clear difference in meaning between a conservative in the UK versus a conservative in the US. Besides, if you watch Top Gear you know he has stated that school teachers, bendy-bus drivers, lorry drivers, the elderly, caravan drivers, the French, and his co-hosts all needed to be shot. To date, nobody has taken him seriously.
