Seacrest already does a morning radio show in LA and is under
contract. Will he be waking up four hours earlier to host Today for
the East Coast time zone as well? Also worth noting Seacrest tried and
failed to host a daytime chat show years ago, and I don't think his
status has elevated greatly since then. While I'm not a fan of the
show, isn't the draw of "American Idol" the would-be idols? I always
thought Seacrest as host was innocuous, neither adding nor detracting
anything from the show -- he is just sort of there.
