I watched it and thought that the panelists did their best (especially Poundstone) but the questions seemed too easy compared to the radio show. And they made just enough changes to the radio presentation that it was neither an accurate representation of the NPR show (which I like but apparently the Times reviewer doesn't) nor great television. I've never been to a taping of the radio show but I've heard that those shows last 90 minutes to two hours and that the radio broadcast is an edited version of the best of what transpired. It looked like the BBC America version was one hour with very little editing.
I listen to the radio WWDTM every week and enjoyed seeing everybody on stage but I think BBC America's "Would You Rather" works better as a televised panel show. It's only a half hour and was designed to be televised rather than having to cater to being a radio and television broadcast. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kevin M." <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, December 23, 2011 11:14 PM Subject: [TV orNotTV] Wait Wait the TV show... > Did anyone watch it on BBCA?
