Yes, most of them aren't worth listening to.  But at least we know why they
were booked -- as difficult as it may be to understand, they've had success
as recording artists.  The same can't be said about Ms. Del Rey/Grant.  BTW
there was another equally awful female singer on last season's SNL; don't
remember her name.

I think it's funny that the very same people who find Ms. Del Rey/Grant's
video work so appealing wouldn't be caught dead with anything by an Idol
contestant on their iPods.  There's no question as to which group is more
worthy of ridicule.
