Local doctor unwittingly sparks scare at Rush Limbaugh's home

A Franklin Park man unknowingly caused a bomb scare at radio
commentator Rush Limbaugh's Florida estate when he sent him a digital
picture frame as part of a business pitch.

Palm Beach police said Dr. Eric Brader sent Mr. Limbaugh an artist's
rendering of a John Wilkes Booth assassinating President Abraham
Lincoln in a digital picture frame.

The package arrived to Mr. Limbaugh's post office box on Thursday
afternoon and was picked up by a staff member, who brought it back to
a guest house at the estate at about 4 p.m.

The package raised eyebrows because Mr. Limbaugh was not expecting it,
so a staff member X-rayed it with a machine they keep on site, said
Fred Hess, the spokesman for the Palm Beach police. The X-ray revealed
the contents contained a series of wires, prompting a call to police.

The Palm Beach Sheriff's Office bomb squad got in touch with Dr.
Brader, whose name was on the return address, and determined it was
safe to open.

Mr. Hess said Dr. Brader was extremely apologetic for causing alarm.
