CNN announced on Twitter that Louis CK has dropped out of the White House Correspondent Dinner. He says that he "just didn’t want to do it anymore." He had become a target of criticism and boycott by Greta van Susteren, which itself was fallout, spurred on my Rush Limbaugh's various attacks on Sarah Fluke culminating in his infamous demand that she produce for him a sex tape.
http://www.mediaite.com/online/louis-c-k-pulls-out-of-radio-tv-correspondents-dinner-hosting-duties/ In the wake of Limbaugh's comments and the boycott to counter Limbaugh, criticism has been heaped upon Keith Olbermann, Bill Maher and others about their past misogynistic comments of conservatives. Keith Olbermann again apologized for those comments and again suspended the "Worst Persons segment..." from his show. Bill Maher, curiously but not surprisingly, criticized the boycotts against Limbaugh. (It was similar pressure that led to ABC canceling his show Politically Incorrect shortly after the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington.) http://www.mediaite.com/tv/keith-olbermann-apologizes-to-se-cupp-and-michelle-malkin-suspends-worst-persons-again/ http://www.mediaite.com/online/bill-maher-stands-up-for-rush-limbaugh-decries-advertiser-intimidation/ On to other 'advertiser intimidation' news, the AFA affiliated group OneMillionMoms gives up its campaign to get JC Penny to drop Ellen DeGeneres as its spokeswoman. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/showtracker/2012/03/ellen-degeneres-anti-gay-group-backs-off-jc-penney-ad-boycott-.html Whereas TLC has cancelled "All American Muslims" due to low ratings, but the Florida Family Association is taking credit for ending the show. http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/03/08/entertainment-us-muslim-television-idUSBRE82700V20120308 And to close, last month Andrew Breitbart promised explosive video exposing Barack Obama's young adult years, and posthumously he has delivered. Breitbart.com procured video evidence that shows -- beyond a shadow of a doubt -- Barack Obama attended Harvard University in the early 90s. This blows a devastating hole in the Donald Trump theory of Barack Obama materializing out of nothingness in 2004. The video shows young Barack Obama performing the black-power embrace commonly known as "the hug" on beloved radical professor Derrick Bell who was trying to overthrow the system by demanding universities give tenure to more minority and female professors. This shocking video was suppressed by the mainstream media during the campaign through its broadcast on PBS member stations throughout the country via the "Frontline" news program, and placement on an internet website open to anyone. Y'all can probably find this story on your own. But, the interesting thing to me was Derrick Bell wrote a satiric sci-fi parable: What if aliens offered to solve America's problems and all they asked from America was to have all of their black people. It became part of an anthology show that aired on HBO, called Cosmic Slop. I actually saw this as a teen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6-n9axdiOs -- Wesley McGee http://www.ambivi.com http://sterlingnorth.vox.com http://drawing-a-blank.tumblr.com Twitter: @westwit G+: http://plus.google.com/113413697748381364954 Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/wesleymcgee -- TV or Not TV ....
