In terms of format, News Quiz is kind of like the time-filler "panel rounds" on Wait Wait with a little bit of Jay Leno's "Headlines" segment, as read by an actual BBC News personality who tries to maintain his/her standard very serious demeanor. In terms of the comedy, it's about on par with the equivalent current-events bits on Wait Wait; sometimes they miss and sometimes you actually need to know the story to get the comedy unlike something like The Daily Show. -- David J.
