As a former page I am uniquely qualified to answer this question. When
I used to give the tours of the Burbank studio, inevitably I'd get
asked "When do we get to see the set of Seinfeld and Friends." The
average viewer is only barely aware what network a show is on
(especially now that they can look up the title on their DVR listings)
-- they are not aware that a show could be produced by one studio,
shot on a different studio lot, and air on a completely different
network. Tell somebody that ABC's high-profile "Dancing With The
Stars" is shot on the CBS lot and produced by a British company and it
can blow their mind.
