It seems that what AI desperately needs is someway of attracting more viewers who are not adolescent girls. These are the people who seem to keep voting for the same bland performers who then make the show less interesting. I don't mean they should be trying to get old people (which I guess Tyler would have done, if that were possible). But I know my daughters used to watch AI when they were in high school, but now in their early 20s they would be as likely to watch Hannah Montana again as Idol. It seems like Glee stars would just attract the same eyeballs that are already watching. She is kind of mainstream, but I think my daughters and their friends might be a little more likely to watch if someone like Beyonce was on. My kids and their friends see her as someone they listened to as teeny boppers, but has grown up on her own terms. -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
