That's certainly not exclusive to "Late Late Show" -- I have personal knowledge 
from my closed-captioning days of portions of interviews being cut on "Late 
Night with Conan O'Brien" (we were creating the captions based on an audio feed 
of the taping, and if something ended up being cut, an associate producer 
called us a couple hours later -- or, at least, was supposed to).
