I'm reminded of the hullabaloo after Eastwood was in that Chrysler ad during the last Super Bowl, and it was assumed in some quarters that it was done for the Obama campaign. Not sure if this was seen by the Republicans as a make-good. Eastwood looked a hell of a lot better in the commercial, so I think it wasn't.
