Related to the subject line, it has been a while since I've spoken of my love for televised car chases. We had one in LA today, a very slow speed pursuit through the downtown area, but the action intensified in the end when the driver crashed into another vehicle, stepped out of his car, stumbled to the ground, drew his assault rifle and began firing multiple shots... unless you watched KNBC, in which case you saw nothing because their novice helicopter pilot was caught behind a building and above the clouds and missed the whole thing. KCAL/KCBS caught the action, though. I was watching both live feeds online at the time. Several minutes later, the female anchor bunnies on KNBC still hadn't been briefed on what had happened.
So, whether a moment of silence or a moment of action, NBC ain't there to show it to you.
