Kevin and I have traded anecdotes about Howser's ability to find even the
most mudane things astounding and delightful ("You call this a 'pencil?'
And you can write words on paper with it?"), but it seemed obvious to me
that he was a good guy who just loved being out, finding things, and
sharing them with Southern California.
