Since this went down yesterday, I'll remain a touch cryptic, but it was the second game of the Teen Tournament, and Leonard Cooper was in a tough spot with only $3,000 from game one (compared to $17.6K and $19K for his two opponents).
I'll let Rembrant Brown at Grantland describe how game two played out. http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-triangle/post/_/id/50788 An aside (because a Google search isn't helping me, and I swore it was in the Chuck Forrest Tournament Of Champions but j-archive says otherwise): I recall a legendary ToC in which a player found a Daily Double in Double Jeopardy, made it a True Daily Double, was given a clue along the lines of "A horse is considered a maiden until this happens", and replied "When he wins his first race." There was stunned silence for about three seconds until Alex said in almost a mournful silence his name, and then "you forgot to phrase it in the form of a question." Does anyone else remember this? -- -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People! You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TV or Not TV" group.
