Agreed. It is actually much more imaginable that Keith would be back in
Bristol than Dan. Dan not only has a couple of really good gigs right now.
NBC's SNF pre-game show is the best in all of sports, and the most watched
- anything ESPN would have to offer would be several steps down. And his
morning radio/TV show, while I imagine less highly rated than Mike and Mike
on the Deuce, is genuinely his own creation. ESPN could probably pay him
more money that he makes right now - but then he makes a lot of money right
now anyway, and works as much as he wants, and on his own terms. I don't
see him willingly walking back into servitude. Olbermann on the other hand
is a drama-junkie, and working at ESPN for a couple of years (or months, or
weeks) would be mainlining some of the pure stuff for him.

One thing the Current experience should have taught Keith is to never again
work for someone he is supposed to like or respect (and that includes his
self). He needs to work for some version of *The Man*, some power he can
envision himself courageously speaking truth to. I don't see him working
for Fox News, but I could see him trying to start something at that CBS
Sports cable channel I see on my "dial" but have never really watched.
