I'll happily take Costas doing play-by-play. McCarver probably would
have found his way into the NBC booth.

One thing that struck me watching (the kinescope of) game 7 of the
1960 Series was that there were no replays. By the '70s, I remember
how they'd show Graig Nettles making a play at third half a dozen
times. Now, of course, we get to see every routine ground ball three
times (unless they're doing the in-game interview), even though we
don't learn anything.
