As I understand it, the ban still allows for "specialized" plastic bags, such as the smaller ones used for bagging produce. I would think those would be sufficient for the "specialized" use David references.
I'll be on the lookout, of course, for the new Recycled Plastic Bag Channel which has to follow this change in the laws.
