Years ago, Reese Schoenfeld, the guy who ran CNN for Turner in the early days, suggested that Fox distribute Sky News in the U.S. (as you know, the Fox end of the News Corp. breakup owns part of the channel as part of owning part of BSkyB). He said at the time that Ailes was firmly against it. Either Ailes has changed his mind, someone at Fox is doing an end run around Ailes or (most likely) Ailes is convinced that his audience is so glued to cable and his channels, only ventures onto the net for foxnews.com, Fox Nation and other right-wing sites and blogs and just aren't interested in new tech like Apple TV.
