In fact, I would probably that TMS' biggest revenue-getter in their comic
strip titles is one that was discontinued in 2010 and had been in reprints
for part of the 70s.  That, of course, would be (Little Orphan) Annie,
thanks to the musical of the same name, which has to generate royalties to
TMS continuously.

And I just picked a title at random when it came to Brewster Rockit,
actually--I could've said Bound and Gagged and I started to write Animal
Crackers, except that that one has been around for a while and even had a
TV series.  I was just trying to pick a title that has any sort of current
buzz outside of the comics pages.  And Love Is... (which TMS got when the
Trib bought the LA Times) is beyond common contempt.
