But if you think Jay's political interviews are lightweight, compare his interview of Eliot Spitzer to Fallon's. Jay was hard on Spitzer about the sex scandal (saying "I really admired you... how could you be so stupid?"). Jimmy, on the other hand, never even brought up the sex scandal and had Spitzer participate in a comedy bit. That doesn't bode well for the future. Re the bands: I prefer Rickey Minor's band (and his more melodic theme) to Eubanks'; Eubanks played the same damn songs over and over, while Minor and company put some life into their arrangements and sound like they're working harder. Although I agree that the Roots will be a big improvement. -Tim
