In the end, I agree with Alex's comment: “After the show I said [to the judges], 'I can understand it, but it’s a little rough.' I thought they may have ruled a little harshly, but they ruled according to the rules of the game. They made a valid point, and I can understand that.”
Again: I get the ruling, I understand the ruling, (and note that Alex was ready to rule it correct but had to be stopped by the judges) but I think that they probably could've given a touch of leniency and the world would've continued to revolve.
