And the people who have been bombarded by Esquire Network logos all over
G4's one remaining first-run show (American Ninja Warrior) plus ads giving
specific premiere dates and times in basically every commercial break and
are going to get a surprise when they turn on the channel that G4 was on
and don't find the Esquire Network. It's one thing to decide that you're
going to change what existing network goes away when launching a new one;
it's another thing to change it two weeks out.

Here in Austin, the switch means that they'll be getting a two-digit
channel number but losing high definition (unless Time-Warner adds it
pretty quickly.) And for this particular member of the M18-35 demographic
and many of my friends who basically never stray from the HD-only range of
channel numbers, being SD only is a bigger downgrade than a two-digit
channel is an upgrade.
