I am not really getting the thrust of your commentary here. Are you saying only people as or more wealthy than Dan Snyder, or as or more powerful than the Supreme Court, have a right to an opinion about the seemliness of naming a major franchise in a professional sports league that receives tons of public subsidy "Redskins"?
People are free to disagree with Costas (and the growing chorus of like minded, serious sports journalists) of course, but I don't see why there is something wrong with Costas and the others giving their views in what is clearly labeled his weekly commentary.
