In my VHS archives was "ALF Loves a Mystery," a horribly produced NBC "special" to promote the Saturday morning lineup of kids shows. It featured several bit players from NBC shows (Betty White, Jackee Harry, Alvin & Chipmunks, Smurfs) including my beloved Shannen... and ALF. I won't waste time on the "plot" (airquotes) but in the end ALF ended up going out on a date with Shannen. Not since Madeline Khan kissed Gonzo have I been so jealous of a piece of felt.
