I mentioned in a previous thread that I had a friend who got the call. Her
episode aired today (one of the advantages of living in Chicago is the
four-hour head start over my Detroit friends).

I have to tell you: watching Maura was as gripping as watching a live
sporting event. I was reacting to each clue, wanting her desperately to
ring in, and letting out a very loud clap with each correct answer. I was
quite glad I work in an office that (a) has DirecTV and (b) did not object
to me watching in the middle of the day.

The ending of the Double Jeopardy round was bizarre (I'd never been more
depressed for a triple stumper in my life), and then the Final Jeopardy
managed to top even that to the point where I was standing in front of the
monitor for the reveals (I think I'd have gone the same route Maura did in
her wagering strategy). I chatted with her after the match, and once enough
time goes by I'll share her thoughts.

And she had a great story to boot!

Sorry to kinda throw a wild card up here, but I'm quite proud of Maura, and
figured this group, if anyone, would appreciate that kind of pride.
