After long campaigns of making fun of Oprah for her refusal to do anything with him they reconciled, with Oprah appearing on his show and Dave appearing on her show. Years after dropping a Bill Hicks routine in post-production, he invited Hicks's mother to the show and apologized to her and then showed the tape of the routine.
