But if I can indulge my Trekkie side, Cliff Bole directed most of my favorite episodes of ST: TNG, DS9, and Voyager. His vision really helped to define those series in tone and appearance. "Best of Both Worlds" aka the big Borg two-parter was his, as was the episode where Spock returned. In addition to his Trek credits, Bole directed key episodes of several of my favorite shows, including "Spenser For Hire," "MacGyver," "The X Files," and the underrated 1980s reboot of "Mission: Impossible" (and, yes, if you insist, he also directed some "Baywatch" and "Fantasy Island" episodes... who are you to judge?).
