I think it's a conceit of most anyone who is directly involved or covers those 
shows.  It may also reflect the playing around with start times networks have 
done for way too long.  Right now the most obvious culprit in late night is 
Comedy Central, unless my watch is fast and @midnight really does start at 
11:59:59.

QUESTION: In two different jokes Myers twice referred to the "11:30 Show" while 
referencing Tonight; is there some kind of network conceit that those shows
