Fallon ends his Late Night tenure tomorrow, following the Opening Ceremonies and your late local news (getting folks used to the new timing a little early). Looks like Leno's last guest will be Garth Brooks. Nostalgic for me for a few reasons, the main one being I'd promised an ex-girlfriend that even after we broke up I'd get her tickets to the show if Garth ever appeared as a guest. And shortly after she and I broke up (this was back in the late 1990s), he was booked. I got her the best seats in the house, and she was so grateful that she and I got back together for a few more months. All this is my way of saying that both Jay and Garth got me laid, so if that isn't a fitting way to end things, I don't know what is.
