What will likely sort out some of these possible candidates is where CBS opts
to do the show.  With the possible exception of longshot Chelsea, I don't see
any of these folks trading coasts.  That is, Conan won't go back to NY, neither
Stewart nor Colbert would decamp to Los Angeles, etc.

What's the status of the Ed?  Are the booking wars real, and likely to abate if
both CBS shows are in Los Angeles?  Don't know, but at least one of these
questions may matter.

This is my recollection as well.

I don't see CBS putting a 50-year old Scot in the 11:30 chair, although I
suspect that SCG would try hard to do an appropriate show at that hour if given
the chance.
