It would be interesting to see if there's a Carson interview that TCM might
rush to air during such a marathon.

Subject: [TV orNotTV] Mickey Rooney Dies at 93

The gifted actor was known as much for his stormy private life as for his
triumphs on stage, screen and television--as for TV, he starred in five series,
none of them particularly successful, was offered the role of Archie Bunker but
turned it down, won an Emmy for the TV film "Bill" and was nominated for two
other Emmys and would appear on almost any talk or game show that would have
him:

I would expect TCM announcing a tribute marathon presently--since his series
weren't particularly successful, it will be interesting to see if any of the
classic TV channels will be able to do a tribute marathon.
