To clarify: I knew that wasn't Rog doing TPIR. I couldn't remember who
directed MG and for some reason thought it might have been Rog, but it
turns out it was Breslow (as noted by Kevin, and I thank him profusely for
reposting that). I do think it was more of a housecleaning by Fremantle
than Drew, but this would be filed under "Things We Don't And Won't Know".

True, but the goal of the show is live-to-tape. For example, it's not
uncommon for Jeopardy to stop tape if a contestant's response to a Daily
Double requires some additional research, and contestants are allowed as
much time to calculate their wager for Final Jeopardy as they want, even if
that requires a stop tape.
