I've seen this because their coverage of my football team, the New York Jets is an absolute joke. The team's "beat writer" Manish Mehta who Olbermann famously went after on his ESPN return is a knoob with a fetish for anonymous sources and pushes bullshit clickbait on Twitter in order to get noticed. I also despised what the paper did when after the 2012 season the paper stalked Coach Rex Ryan and his wife on vacation in the Carribean and defended it by essentially saying "we do this for you". Yes, because apparently the Daily News thinks you can't get better coverage of the Jets than theirs on a blog, and that the Internet is still running like it's 1996.
Also I have to laugh at how the Daily News is protecting their "good" reporters on Twitter. Yes NYDN because your writers and editors like Gerick, Cristina Everett and Dan O'Leary are the real people we should all feel bad for instead of people that struggle with issues like Depression, Parkinson's and Suicide. I'm starting to think these people might have a future when the NYDN goes out of business in running the PR Department for the Ferguson PD. Greg -- -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
