If only those who were not focused on money were allowed to be part of big time college football and basketball, you would be left with a product that would not be ready for prime time. The coaches and the universities are pigs at the money trough, and the stars are marking time before cashing those multi-million dollar professional paychecks. The people this effort is designed to help are precisely those idealized amateur athletes who play the game for its own sake, and have no chance of playing professionally, and will be hustling after graduation just to find a job. They are the ones whose labor is being exploited shameless by millionaires and billion dollar institutions and corporate sponsors. -- -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
